The Head of Department of Physics, Dr. Benjamin Anderson, has called on Postgraduate students to read more reviewed articles so that they would be equipped to generate new ideas for research.

According to Dr. Anderson, reading reviewed articles would apprise them of the current happenings in their fields of study and also to contribute meaningfully to academic debate.

Dr. Anderson made this known at a seminar organised by the School of Physical Sciences for Postgraduate students of the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences (CANS)

An alumnus of the University of Cape Coast, Dr. Daniel A. Wubah has been appointed as the President of Millersville University in the United States of America.

The Board of Governors of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education unanimously selected Dr. Daniel A. Wubah, a former provost and senior adviser to the president of Washington and Lee University, to be the next president of Millersville University of Pennsylvania, effective July 1.

The School of Business Dean's Award which is a yearly event was established to recognise and encourage high performing students of the School. The 2015 edition was held on Thursday, 22nd October, 2015 at Felt Auditorium 900, University of Cape Coast. In all, a total of 128 students from levels 100 - 300 in six programmes were awarded.

The University Library in collaboration with the Information Literacy Skills Unit has organised a four-day reading clinic for five basic Schools in some communities around the University.

The event was organised as part of activities marking the 3rd National Library and Information Week celebrations held in the last week of October, 2015.

A Professor of English at the Department of English, University of Cape Coast, Lawrence Kodwo Owusu-Ansah has stated that “Ghanaian English means more than just the English spoken by Ghanaians.”

The statement was made at an inaugural lecture held at the university on the topic “Does Ghanaian English Mean More than Just the English Ghanaians speak or not? Sic Et Non”.

The University of Cape Coast has signed two separate Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Entrepreneurship Training Institute (ETI) and the Academic City College (ACC) at a memorable ceremony on campus.

Speakers at the maiden Advancement Lecture Series have underscored the need for government to adequately resource statutory institutions and agencies mandated by the constitution to effectively fight corruption in the Country.

They expressed worry that since independence, various governments have instituted measures to fight the canker but have not been able to strengthen institutions to perform their role expeditiously.
