UCC Basic Schools Celebrates Academic Achievements of Pupils

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) Basic School has hosted an Awards and Achievement Day event to honour the academic achievements of its pupils for the past academic year.

The event, themed "Celebrating Excellence and Inspiring the Future," brought together students, parents, and guardians to recognize the hard work and dedication of the young scholars.

Laced with various cultural performances, the celebration aimed at fostering creativity, cultural understanding, and meaningful social interactions, as well as providing an avenue for learners to exhibit their talents and build confidence, and rewarding students for their academic performance.

Performances such as the Kete dance, dance drama, wood dance, drum language, poetry, and a drama on peace and unity were the highlights of the ceremony, which portrayed the various cultures of the country.

In an address, the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Georgina Aglobitse, commended the students for their academic performance, highlighting the importance of perseverance and commitment to education. She added that the celebration was not just about grades, but the effort, resilience, and growth that each of the pupils had shown through the academic year.
