Students of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Cape Coast have held this year's Flocktails and Friendships Party.

The outdoor event, held at the precinct of the Senior Club House, was to encourage socialization among Level 400 students and the student body. It was also a class project for students reading HMG 405 - Banqueting and Catering, which contributes 40 marks to their total assessment for the semester.

The students had a healthy dose of family fun, good music, food and a wide variety of activities, including a Tiktok dance challenge. ‘Underground’ student artistes dished out popular songs, getting the already excited audience to sing along.

A lecturer at the Department, Dr. Evelyn Addison-Akotoye, addressing the participants, said the Course was to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills for managing banquet and catering services.

According to her, the students were tasked to select a programme that reflected everything they had studied over ten (10) weeks of learning in the classroom. As a result, the students chose the Flock and Tail Friendships Party.

She encouraged the students to take their studies seriously.
