An orientation ceremony has been held for 55 newly-admitted students who are pursuing Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Population and Health at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). The orientation, which was held in Tamale, Kumasi and Accra, was attended by students comprising mostly Principals of Health Institutions (HTIs) across the country.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rosemond Boohene, has cut sod for the construction of a washing bay for the Transport Section.

The project, funded by Donewell Insurance Company (DIC), will be sited at the precincts of the Transport Section.

At a short ceremony to break the ground, Prof. Boohene said DIC was a key stakeholder to support the University.

The Vice-Chancellor of University of Cape Coast, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, has reiterated his commitment to help nurture young entrepreneurs with the launch of the Design Thinking and Innovation Hub (D-Hub) at the University.

He said the Hub would serve as an experiential learning centre for students, interns, researchers, businesses, as well as industries.

The Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA), University of Cape Coast has shared best

practices on quality assurance with staff of the Quality Assurance Unit from Ghana Institute of

Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

A leading Ghanaian insurance company, Hollard Group Ghana, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Cape Coast, UCC. This is to support the career development of students.

 

Dubbed ‘Hollard X Academia’ the three-year partnership which forms part of the company's social impact project has five modules.

The Faculty of Law, University of Cape Coast has held its ninth (9th) Roll Call ceremony which saw one hundred and fourteen students (114) being inducted.

The event was also to recognize and appreciate students who performed creditably in their academic work.

A Supervising High Court judge in the Western Region, HL Justice Sedina Agbemava, administered the oath to the fresh students.
