The University of Cape Coast (UCC) Press has donated stationery items to two basic schools within the University’s catchment area.
The schools are: Abakam Presbyterian M.A Basic School and Archbishop Amissah Memorial Catholic Basic School in Duakor.
The donation included exercise books, pens, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers to support teaching and learning in the beneficiary schools.
Presenting the items at Abakam Presbyterian M.A Basic School, the Manageress of the Press, Mrs. Mary Quainoo Boadi-Kusi, said the donation formed part of UCC’s commitment to promoting education in the community.

Receiving the items, the Headteacher of Abakam Presbyterian M.A Basic School, Mrs. Edith Adih, expressed gratitude to UCC Press for the support. “This donation is timely as we begin a new academic year. It will enable our pupils to start afresh with the needed learning materials. We are truly grateful to the Press,” she said.
At Archbishop Amissah Memorial Catholic Basic School, the stationery was presented by the Head of General Services at the Directorate of Consular and General Services, Mrs. Gladys Ewuarama Edumadze, who emphasised the importance of investing in young learners. “These students are the future leaders of our nation, and this support will help them reach their academic potential,” she stated.

The Headteacher of Archbishop Amissah Memorial Catholic Basic School, Mr. Justin Ekor, also expressed appreciation for the gesture. “This donation will go a long way to improve teaching and learning in our school. We are grateful to UCC Press for this valuable contribution,” he said.
