We publish hereunder a letter of appreciation, dated May 10, 2008, Ref. SRC/UCC/F.6/30 from the out-gone Executives of the Students Representative Council (2007/2008 academic year) to the Vice-Chancellor of this University:

"We write on behalf of the entire Students Representative Council for the 2007/2008 to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to you and your staff for the support and guidance you gave us during our tenure of office.

At its meeting held on Monday, July 14, 2008, the University Council  made the following appointments:

• Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Research has been offered an appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast with effect from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2012.

• Mr. Isaac Ohene, Deputy Registrar, Division of Academic Affairs has also been offered appointment as Registrar of the University of Cape Coast with effect from October 1, 2008.
