Onetouch Gives Hotlines To UCC Security
The joint Patrol Team of Campus Security and the Cape Coast Police Service has been provided with five emergency numbers which members of the University Community could call for immediate assistance in times of danger.
The Chief Security Officer (CSO), Lt. (Rtd) David K. Koku who revealed this said the facility was made available in order to facilitate the management of crime on campus. It will be recalled that the University had experienced various reports of cell phone snatching for sometime now, and this prompted the Ghana Telecom to come in to assist in this direction, as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Lt. Koku said that UCC had been given two of the emergency numbers. The numbers are:
- 5175—(Onetouch users) Cape Coast Police
- 5176—(Onetouch users) Cape Coast Police
- 5177—(Onetouch users) Cape Coast Police
- 5178—(Onetouch users) UCC Security
- 5179—(Onetouch users) UCC Security
- 020-300 (+any of the above numbers)—for users of other networks.
