UCC And Michigan University (MU) Sign MOU

UCC And Michigan University (MU) Sign Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum of Understanding is to enable the two institutions to share their valued experiences in areas including social, educational and sciences, with special emphasis on helping build a stronger UCC Medical School. The University of Cape Coast on the other hand, would support Michigan University in areas such as African Studies, Tourism and other disciplines in the humanities.

Four-story Students Hostel To Be Constructed

Axis Ventures, a US-based firm engaged in the provision of equipment, buildings and telecom facilities, has presented a preliminary proposal to the University for the construction of a four-storey students hostel with 324 rooms to ease accommodation problems on campus.

The Chairman/CEO of the firm, Mr. Kofi A. Tawiah, who led the team indicated that it was a follow-up visit to ascertain the status of a letter of intent to the University on the issue.

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (DCSIT) and the Internet Society (ISOC) Ghana Chapter, recently organized a Home-Coming Celebration at the LLT, Faculty of Education new block in honour of Prof. Nii Narku Quaynor who won the Jon Postel Service Award for 2007.

The Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Charles Mensa, has inaugurated two Search Committees for the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor and a Registrar during a Council meeting held at the Council Chamber.
