The newly-appointed Managing Director of the Daily Graphic, Mr. Ibrahim Awal, has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Prof. E. A. Obeng and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Yakubu. Discussions which centered on how to forge a closer relationship between UCC and the Daily Graphic included:

1. Full and sustained news coverage of events on campus by the Daily Graphic.
2. Continuous advertisement in the Daily Graphic (2 million readers a day) by UCC
3. UCC to identify itself with the Regional Newspaper yet to be published by the Daily Graphic for readers in the Central Region.
