Remedial Science Programme Starts

The Remedial Science Programme, a collaborative programme organized annually under the auspices of the Schools of Biological/Physical Sciences and Agriculture, will commence on June 1, 2008.

According to the Faculty Officer of the School of Physical Sciences, Mr. P.K. Mensah, candidates admitted would be taken through a five-week intensive tuition in Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture to prepare them to enroll into degree programmes in both the Sciences and Agriculture in the University.

Mr. Mensah noted that this year, about 1,200 candidates would be admitted into the programme, adding, that for year 2007, a total of 800 candidates were enrolled. He indicated that though the deadline for the submission of applications into the 2008 programme had passed, the organizers have extended it to May 30, 2008 to enable candidates who were yet to submit their forms and prospective candidates to take advantage of the grace period.
