MedShare International, a US - based organization has donated assorted medical equipment and consumables to the University Hospital.
The Hospital Administrator, Mr. Moses Abnory told the ‘Campus Update' that the donation includes comfortable and multi-purpose wheel chairs, beds and other consumables. He said that the items were expected to further equip the Laboratory, the General Wards, Dental and X-ray Units of the hospital to enhance the delivery of health care services, especially to the poor and needy patients.

According to Mr. Abnory, the University paid for the shipment of the items at the cost of $16, 000.

The donation from MedShare follows a discussion which the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Prof. E.A. Obeng, the Registrar, Mr. S. Kofi Ohene and Prof. (Mrs.) Naana Opoku-Agyemang held with the organization during a visit to the U.S. last year.
