A visiting Canadian Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (DCSIT), Professor Stephen Chen has donated books and computer accessories valued at GH¢ 2500 to the University.

The items comprised 20 books, 10 computer cards, and 150 memory cards.

Professor S. Chen said he was motivated by the fact that modern and current books were difficult to come by and therefore found it prudent to carefully select and present materials essential to both lecturers and students.

Receiving the items on behalf of the University, the Deputy Registrar of the Division of Academic Affairs, Mr. Isaac Ohene, expressed his appreciation to Professor Chen for the kind gesture and admonished others to emulate same. Mr. Ohene then handed over the books to the Dean of the School of Physical Sciences, Professor S. Y. Mensah.

Present at the brief ceremony were the Head, DCSIT, Mr. Daniel Obuobi, Co-ordinator of the Computer Centre, Mr. John Edumadze, and students of the Department.
