CALL FOR PAPERS
Articles and book reviews are invited from interested scholars and researchers in the academic community (national and international) and other establishments for publication in the Journal of Business and Enterprise Development.
- Articles, book reviews and practitioners’ papers in the areas of accounting, marketing, human resource management, finance, public administration, development economics, political economy and business law are welcome for consideration. The Journal is interested in original works, new insights and conceptual and empirical manuscripts that add to existing knowledge. Articles, practitioners’ papers and book reviews should be in English and submitted electronically through businessjournal@ucc.edu.gh and businessjournal2000@gmail.com preferably in Microsoft word and accompanied by two hard copies of the manuscript, typed double-spaced. Articles and book reviews sent to this Journal should not have been already accepted for publication elsewhere. Contributors who receive notification that their articles are accepted for the Journal, would be expected to withdraw any similar versions of the articles from wherever they may have been sent. Contributors should keep a copy of their manuscripts as the Editors will not return any manuscript that is not accepted for publication by the Journal.
- A full-length article should normally not exceed 7,500 words. It should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words. A practitioner’s paper should not exceed 4,000 words. A book review should not exceed 500 words.
- The author’s name, position and institution should NOT be written on the manuscript or on any other illustrative material. These should instead be on the cover page of the manuscript.
- Illustrative materials (maps, diagrams, photographs, etc.) should be numbered serially in Roman numbers. They should not exceed 15”x19” in size and should be camera-ready for publication.
- Until further notice, the Journal of Business and Enterprise Development will be issued once a year.
- Endnotes, which should be self-explanatory but as minimal as possible, should be numbered serially, and should not be used principally to introduce bibliographical references.
- Books and articles should be mentioned in the text of the main body of the article. For example, Hutchful (2002: 172)… indicates that the reference is made to page 172 of Hutchful’s book or article, which appeared in 2002. If more than one work of an author under reference appeared in one year, the alphabet should be used chronologically to distinguish the works from one another; e.g. Avoke (2005a), (2005b) etc. This procedure should be used in the endnotes also.
- The bibliography (both books and articles) should be set out separately and arranged alphabetically as follows:
- For books (one author):
Marfo-Yiadom, E (2005). Principles of Management. Accra: Woeli Publishing Services. - For Books (Two authors/Co-authored):
