2-Year Post-Diploma Degree Program

Qualifications/Entry Requirements A good teacher's diploma qualification earned from one of the former diploma awarding institutions, the University of Cape Coast (DASE) or equivalent institutions. At least two years post qualification teaching/working experience. Note: All candidates must pass an interview. Bachelor of Arts (B.A) i. ENGLISH ii. FRENCH iii. RELIGIOUS STUDIES iv. GHANAIAN LANGUAGE v. MUSIC Candidates to be admitted to the Bachelor of Arts program will have a two (2) hour subject areas. Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) i. MATHEMATICS ii. SCIENCE iii. PHYSICAL EDUCATION iv. PSYCHOLOGY v. FOUNDATIONS vi. PRIMARY EDUCATION vii. HEALTH SCIENCE Candidates for program in the Department of Science Education. That is (i) and (ii) above must also have minimum of (5) G.C.E. credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and at least two (2) Science subjects. G.C.E. 'A' Level pass(es) will be an advantage. Bachelor of Education (Health Science) 1. A minimum of five (5) G.C.E. 'O' Level credits passes, including Engish, Mathematics and at least two (2) Science subjects. G.C.E. 'A' Level pass(es) will be an advantage. 2. A good TEACHER's DIPLOMA qualification earned from the University of Cape Coast, or equivalent institutions, in any one of the following health sectors/fields: i. Health Sciences Education ii. Nursing Education iii. Midwifery Education iv. Nutrition Education v. Environmental Science Education vi. Epidemiology Education (Official academic transcripts are needed to evaluate Education component of Diploma program, if course was NOT taken at UCC) At least, two (2) year post qualification experience in the repective area of specialization. All candidates must have minimum of credit pass in English and Mathematics at the G.C.E. 'O' Level. Bachelor of Science Degree Candidates for Bachelor of Science degree must have the Laboratory Technicians' Diploma of U.C.C. or its equivalents.
