General Minimum Qualifications for Advanced Level Applications Credit passes at G.C.E 'O' Level in five subjects including English Languages and Mathematics. Three passes at the Advanced Level of which two must be at grades not lower than 'D'. Note: Candidates who do not have G.C.E 'O' Level credits in English and or Mathematics would be required to take special examination, which will take place on a date to be announced later. Faculty Requirements Faculty of Arts Bachelor of Arts (Arts) Bachelor of Music 1. G.C.E. 'O' Level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics and in at least three (3) of the following subjects: French, History, Ghanaian Language (Akan/Ewe), Government, Listerature in English, Music, Religious Studies, of which not less than two (2) must be at the Advanced Level at grades not lower than 'D'. 2. Holders of the French Diploma awarded by University of Cape Coast are also eligible to apply for consideration. 3. For past students of Diploma Awarding Colleges of the Ghana Education Service, First class or Second Class (Upper Division) grade in their final examination in lieu of an Advanced Level for admission. Such candidates must have a pass in another subject at the Advanced Level at a grade not below 'D'. School of Agriculture B.Sc. (Agric) in the School of Agriculture. G.C.E. 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and in at least three (3) of the science subjects must be at 'A' Level passes. Two (2) 'A' Level passes at grades not lower than 'D'. 'A' Level passes in Biology and Agricultural Science are considered alternative subjects for admission purposes. Passes at 'A' Level in any TWO of the following subjects: Biology or Physics would be an advantage. The following maybe accepted for admission to be B.Sc. (Agric) Degree Course The national Diploma in Agriculture together with credit passes at G.C.E.'O' Level in English language and Mathematics and in at least three (3) other science subjects. A Diploma not below Second class Lower Division from a recognized Agricultural College plus an advanced level pass in Chemistry or Physics at a grade not lower than 'D'. Faculty of Science - Admission Requirements Bachelor of Science (Biological Sicences) 1. Candidates must have passes in core English, Core Mathematics and Core Science. 2. In addition to the above, candidates must have obtained aggregate 12 or better in the following electives subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics with grades not lower than D in two subjects. 3. B.Sc Physical Sciences i. Candidates must have passes in Core English, Core Mathematics and Core Science. ii. In addition to the above candidates must have obtained aggregate 12 or better in the following elective subjects Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics with grades not lower than D in two subjects. iii. Candidates who satisfy the requirements in (i) above but have obtained aggregate 13-15 in three of the elective science subjects may enroll with the Faculty of Science for the Remedial Program and pass an entrance examination in order to gain admission. B.Sc Computer Scicence 1. Candidates must have passes in Core English, Core Mathematics and Core Science. 2. In addition to the above, candidates must have obtained aggregate 12 or better in the following elective subjects Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics with grades not lower than D in two subjects. B.Sc Laboratory Technology 1. Candidates must have passes in Core English, Core Mathematics and Core Science. 2. In addition to the above, candidates must have obtained aggregate 12 or better in the following elective subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics with grades not lower than D in two subjects. Candidates who satisfy the requirements in (i) above but have obtained aggregates 13-15 in the three of the elective science subjects may enroll with the Faculty of Science for Remedial Program and pass an entrance examination in order to gain admission.
