Introduction
The Department of Animal Science is one of the five academic departments of the School of Agriculture.
Vision Statement
The vision of the Department is to become a centre of excellence in the training and research into all aspects of the Animal Sciences.
Courses Offered
The Department contributes to the B.Sc. in agriculture Programme offered by the School of Agriculture by teaching courses in Animal Sciences and allied fields. The Department offers an M.Phil Programme in Animal Sciences and has recently introduced a 1-year M.Sc. and 2-year M.Phil Programmes in Livestock systems Management.
