The course will cover the fundamental concepts of foreign language teaching, language teaching/learning theories and their implications for the basic school learner, role of the teacher and the pupil in the French class and instructional media at the basic level.Other areas include: role-play, error pedagogy, language class management at the basic level, songs and poems as French language teaching technique and factors to consider in teaching/learning French in the basic school
